Root Cause
Controller circuit board temperature exceeded safe limit. Usually caused by high ambient temperature combined with sustained high-power operation.
Symptoms
Conditions
- ePropulsion Evo or Navy motor
- high ambient temperature
- sustained high-power operation
Solution
Stop motor and allow controller to cool before restarting. Improve ventilation around controller if possible.
Actions
- Stop motor and allow to cool
- Wait until E12 clears before restarting
- Ensure controller housing has adequate airflow
- Avoid sustained full-throttle in high ambient temperatures
